Branch Manager - The Timber Group

Job Summary

As a vital member of our team, we’re looking for someone who will not just meet but also exceed our customers’ expectations.

 

Tasks & Activities:

Your role as Branch Manager will typically include:

*       Serving our customers’ needs in a safe and professional manner

*       Maintaining a high standard of health and safety on sites and in depots

*       Be one of the faces of The Timber Group and help create great customer service

*       Create a close working relationship with your team whilst helping them to grow and develop

*       Develop close working relationships with key supply chain partners

*       Building on branch sales and profits

*       Having overall accountability for making sure that the branch maintains high operating standards

*       Generating new customers

*       Training your team, and ensuring their product knowledge is relevant and up to date

*       Managing your stock effectively and properly utilising your vehicles

*       Managing and co-ordinating the branch stocktake twice a year

*       Any other duties as required

Skills & Experience

 

Essential:

*       Experience of working in a similar environment, ideally as a Timber Merchant

*       Experience in managing a team

*       Strong relationship-building skills, with experience in dealing with a wide range of customers

*       Experience in working in a target-driven environment

*       Great planning and organisational skills

*       Full Driver’s license

*       Great team player, with a natural drive and will to succeed

*       Self-motivated, enthusiastic, flexible, reliable, and ambitious

*       Exceptional standards of customer service

Desirable:

*       Experienced in receiving monthly P&L’s

Brewer and L&G Forest Products) back in 2019 and have over 100 combined years in the timber industry.Operating from strategically placed branches in the South of England, all aspects of the timber trade are covered at these branches including saw-milling and specialist machining.
